Sekenani is the smallest of all permanent tented camps in the Masai Mara National Reserve. Located just outside the reserve, some 5km from the Sekenani gate (on the Eastern end), it consists of 15 beautifully designed tents, raised off the ground on wooden platforms and far away from each other as to secure privacy. Each one has wooden floors and comprises an en suite bathroom complete with a large brass-taps bathtub. The tents huge windows offer great views of the hills and plains beyond.

Built at the source of the Sekenani river, the tents are connected by a suspended bridge to the dinning and bar, located on a traditional log and hessian structure. The camp is reputed for having one of the best cuisines in the reserve, a blend of African and International culinary traditions.

Sekenani offers a wide array of activities, among which game walks in the surrounding hills, lead by a Maasai guide (more than 200 bird species have been identified in the area). Other activities include balloon safaris, and fishing expeditions to Lake Victoria. Game drives are included in the rates.

The camp is operated in conjunction with twenty six Maasai families who have a share in the business. It is the logistical center for a community project developing infrastructure for health-care, veterinary services, education and clean water for people living around the reserve.
