As the name correctly suggests, Governor's
Private Camp is even more exclusive and luxurious than the
other Governor's. Indeed, it can only be booked by one family
or group at a time -that is, up to 16 people enjoying for
themselves the whole camp, located at a stunning bend of the
Mara river. The booking minimum is of 4 guests for a 3-night
period.
The spot has been accurately chosen,
not only by the camp organizers but also by wildlife, which
regularly come to drink (antelopes) or play (elephants) or
simply live there (hippopotami).
Personal service is obviously impeccable,
while tents are luxurious, furnished with traditional furniture
and complete with private en suite bathrooms. Meals are sumptuous
and drinks -with the exception of sparkling champagne- completely
free.
As in the case of Governor's Camp,
activities are numerous: 3 daily game drives guided by expert
resident drivers, balloon safaris every morning (followed
by a champagne bush breakfast), and daily walking safaris
in a private concession area adjacent to the reserve. Moreover,
visits to a nearby Maasai village can be arranged, as well
as day fishing excursions to Lake Victoria and overnight expeditions
to Mfangano Island Camp.
