Located in the Aitong Plains, in the Koiyaki Lemek region, north of the Masai Mara National Reserve, Kicheche is an unfenced camp hidden in a grove of African Olives and Euclea trees, built and managed with the intent to minimise the impact on the environment. A small and intimate camp, no more than 22 guests are admitted at any time.

Tents have a Safari-style décor, and are equipped with bedside tables, luggage racks and rugs. Bathrooms are en-suite and are equipped with a dresser, shower and flushing toilet. Most are well separated from each other and overlook the grasslands and adjacent hills.

This seasonal camp features a well equipped lounge (comfortable seating, library, board games) and a restaurant that serves al fresco when possible.

Kicheche offers the usual 2 daily game drives (early morning and late afternoon). The walking safaris, though, are quite renowned. Besides the short walk, the camp has recently introduced an escorted walking safari with an overnight stay at a fly-camp in the bush. Most excursions are led by Andy Webb, the camp host and a professional guide from Zimbabwe with a 20-year experience. The walk, escorted by an armed ranger, covers a 5km distance (around 3 hours) to reach the fly-camp (the same on the return trek, though through a different path).
