Formerly the Mara Camp, Elephant Pepper Camp
is located off the Northern Edge of the Masai Mara reserve,
on the Koyaki Community Ranch. A seasonal camp, taken down
for about a month during the rainy season, it lies under the
shades of a natural forest that overlooks the Mara grasslands.
Named after the Warburgia Ugandense tree,
commonly known as the Elephant Pepper tree, this 8-tented
bush camp has been recently refurbished and upgraded. The
tents include en suite dressing rooms, safari bucket showers
with hot water, and flush toilets.
The camp features a restaurant serving
homely North Italian fare, and a self-service bar. Activities
include game drives in 4-wheel drive Land Rovers, night game
drives, and guided Bush walks.
